SUCCESS.
He's been working out his technique for several weeks now, but Bryce finally took the initiative and is crawling. It's still an imperfect effort, he sort of pulls and pushes himself around rather than the standard crawl, but as evidenced by the videos, he is fully mobile. I (Matt) was so psyched that I was there to see and record this. I just knew somehow that I would be at work during all his major milestones. Just a warning to all you relatives out there who entertain us from time to time...
...NOTHING in your house is safe now.
NOTHING.

Oklahoma
Video of Jeana holding Brody and Bryce. Bryce made an unfortunate attempt to gouge out Brody's eye, but Brody's a gamer and took it in stride. He commandeered Bryce's little toy laptop to even things out. Aubrey is in the video as well, being cute while answering Meg's questions.
Frog chair at Mimi's house
Mimi and Paw Paw gave all the babies little beanbag chairs for Christmas this year. Bryce's was a frog, to go with his general room motif. He loved it. Not captured was him with his hand tucked into the front of his pants while nursing a beer with the other.
Holidays with Family
Below is a hodge podge of pictures from the holidays at various places. First is Bryce out like a light in MeMaw's arms. He slept like that for nearly two hours. Next to that is the little rocker wearing his Uncle PooPoo's Slayer hat. Aunt Janie is in the background, sharing her approval.
Every year, it is tradition in my family for all the women to get new socks and then take pictures of their feet. In some cultures, it is traditional to slap each other on the face and below insults. Ours is much better than that. Blake really liked the toe socks, so Hannah shared a pair of hers with him and we got a nice picture of them modeling.

Oklahoma
We made it out up to Oklahoma this year to see Angel's clan up in Sooner-land. Partly for Christmas in general and partly to see and hold the new addition of Dakota, the new little guy that Kellie and Troy claim. It was a long drive, and Bryce was tuckered out. Either that, or we had just given him an industrial strength tranquilizer to get him to sleep. I forget.
Christmas at Mimi and Paw paw's House
Bryce in his Santa suit. It is a family tradition to get the grandkids to take a picture in the basket below with their Santa suit on at their first Christmas. Bryce's was going well until he rocked back in the basket and flipped it over. After his crying died down, he was heard to exclaim, "I'll be in my trailer!" and stormed out of the room.

Our Family Christmas
Well, another Christmas has come and gone. We learned this year, finally, that Blake no longer believes in Santa Claus and hasn't for sometime, it seems. We had suspected but never been certain, thinking that perhaps he was worried the gravy train of presents would stop the instant he let on that he knew the truth. Well, thankfully enough, Mom and Dad aren't quite that cruel and Christmas went ahead as planned this year. Only now we had a new little guy to buy for. He won't remember it, but it was a fun Christmas for him as well. Check out the pictures below.
